Literary Nights presents its first Story Slam | Sept 21 | Issaquah Train Depot
Back to school brings a fresh sharpening of the mind, a honing of the craft, a competitive spirit as we pick up our pens and scratch at new pages or refine old ones. Try your luck to see if your story can win the Slam. Or come as a judge and make your gift of taste speak.
The Rules
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The slam begins at 7:00.
Enter online or in person. Readers must be present at 7:00. Ten names are drawn from the entries to read.
Bring a story. Prose or poetry, fact or fiction. Seven minutes, then the gong.
Come, listen, and cast your ballot. The audience is polled, and the story with the most votes wins. Will the best story win, or the best telling?
The winner takes a $300 cash prize and is featured in the Literary Nights newsletter.
