Literary Nights partners with Horror Writers Association – Seattle Chapter for an evening of speculative lit: the fabulist, the eerie, the fantastic. Four featured writers bend your mind and welcome you to the other side, where everything seems uncanny valley. Q&A, open mic, and light refreshments.

Sarah Salcedo is an award-winning filmmaker, author, and illustrator. G.G. Silverman is a first-generation Italian-American writer whose short fiction has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Best American Short Fiction, and the O. Henry Prize, and has appeared in Bram Stoker Award–nominated anthologies. Her debut collection, The Blood Year Daughter, was a finalist for numerous awards.
Rosalind Margulies is a fiction and nonfiction writer whose work has appeared in McSweeney's, EPOCH, StoryQuarterly, The Harvard Advocate, and X-R-A-Y, among others. Her fiction has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best American Short Stories. rosalindmargulies.com
Benjamin Schmitt is the Elgin Award–nominated author of five books, most recently Satan's School for Girls and Other Works (forthcoming, Goldfish Press, 2026). His writing has appeared in Antioch Review, Sojourners, The Seattle Times, Hobart, and elsewhere. A co-founder of Pacifica Writers' Workshop, he lives in Seattle.
